Gatorland Global was created in 2018 as a dedicated conservation program for Orlando, Florida's Gatorland, a 125-acre theme park, nature preserve, and the leader in alligator safety and education since 1949. Our vision is to help create a world that loves and respects all animals.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: protect, conserve, and educate. Every day, the Gatorland Global team works to protect alligators, crocodiles, and other native species in Florida and around the world through our targeted programs.
We provide dedicated resources to support conservation research of critically endangered crocodiles across the globe and work with communities to educate others on the importance of alligators and crocodiles to our ecosystems, to respect their power and beauty, and how to safely live with them in Florida and in regions around the world.
Our Vision

In 2024, we sought to formalize and advance our reach to save alligators and crocodiles through the official development of a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit to provide a dedicated resource to help other conservation organizations locally and around the world. Gatorland has been the leader in alligator safety, conservation, and public education since 1949, but we believe there is so much more we can accomplish together.

Gatorland, “The Alligator Capital of the World™,” has been the leader in alligator safety, education and research since 1949. The 125-acre theme park combines Old Florida charm with exciting experiences, exhibits, and entertainment. In 2018, the park established its conservation arm, Gatorland Global, to protect and conserve alligators in Florida and endangered crocodiles across the world.
